The semi-circular desk, crafted in polished walnut by Studio Dominique from a design by David, features a double top with a shagreen leather inlay.

Studio Dominique used only the most valuable part of each of the nineteen skins: the pearl. Shagreen, a luxurious, exclusive material favoured by patrons of the arts, became highly fashionable during the Art Deco period.
